Head injury among adolescents is a significant healthcare concern for parents, clinicians, and schools across the U.S. Centre for Neuro Skills is recognized for its expertise in adolescent brain injury rehabilitation, offering a dedicated program for patients up to 18 years of age.
A brain injury can disrupt an adolescent’s daily life and impact future learning if not properly treated. Our program focuses on regaining developmental skills, fostering independence, and supporting reintegration into educational settings. Our therapists, nurses, and case managers work collaboratively with families to set individualized treatment goals and ensure a successful return to school.
CNS offers day treatment and outpatient rehabilitation services (availability varies by location). Each patient’s program integrates therapeutic care, educational development, and recreational activities, with outcome goals continuously evaluated and adjusted throughout recovery.

Brain injury can significantly affect an adolescent’s ability to learn and meet developmental milestones. CNS’ educational therapy program is designed to help adolescents achieve measurable academic progress.
An educational therapist assesses each adolescent’s learning style and creates an individualized education plan. As part of the transition back to school, therapists:
Communicate with school staff
Participate in school meetings
Provide written modifications and learning strategies tailored to the student’s needs
Our goal is to collaborate with families and schools to ensure a smooth reintegration into the classroom upon completing therapy.
Adjusting to life after a brain injury can be overwhelming for families. CNS’ Family Education Program provides essential resources, education, and emotional support for parents, siblings, and caregivers.
Our counselors work with families throughout the rehabilitation process, helping them understand the effects of traumatic brain injury and supporting them as they navigate new challenges. For those unable to participate on-site, virtual family education sessions are available.
From admission to discharge, our adolescent rehabilitation team ensures a smooth transition back to home, school, and community life.
