CNS Regional Director of Clinical Services Dr. Gary Seale explains the importance of resilience in times of uncertainty and suggests four strategies to help you start building your resilience today.
Dr. Seale explains that dealing with loss, change, setbacks, and disappointment is an inevitable part of life. It is also inevitable in the workplace. But, "Why do some people remain calm, keep their cool, and tackle problems head-on while others come undone, fall into despair, or hide from problems with unhealthy coping strategies," he asks.
The answer – Resilience.
"It is a resource that gives people the ability to tackle problems head-on and overcome adversity," says Dr. Seale. "Resilience also contributes to physical and psychological health. And contributes to personal growth and flourishing," he says.
